The Scripps Proton Therapy Center announced today the treatment of a 5-year-old patient from Phoenix with life-saving proton therapy. Initially only given three days to live, the patient was rushed into surgery and then treated with proton therapy to eliminate any remaining cells to keep the disease from returning. Today he is finishing up treatments at the center and is looking forward to kindergarden.
